What is CBD Flower?

CBD Flower is cannabis buds that come from the hemp plant and are grown to be high in CBD and have less than .3% THC.

CBD and THC are among the many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are basically the active compounds in cannabis that have an effect on the human body. Our bodies have an endocannabinoid system. THC interacts with the CB1 receptor found in your brain. This is what makes people feel high while smoking high-THC cannabis.

CBD interacts with your CB2 receptor which is primarily found in your spleen. The CB2 receptor works to bring about homeostasis or balance in the body. This is why CBD is so effective at combating inflammation and creating a sense of well-being.

What is the effect of CBD Flower?

Different CBD Flower strains have different effects but overall they help combat pain and relax the body and mind. Our first strain, Silver Haze, has a potent skunky smell and smokes very smooth. It is great for taking the edge off after a stressful day and definitely helps put your mind at ease. It also is reported to combat pain and promote a sense of relaxation in the body. Some people are smoking CBD Flower to help them quit an addiction to cigarettes.

Does it get you high?

While smoking CBD Flower does fell good, it does not get you high. It does not have the same psychoactive effects of THC. Many people prefer the effects of CBD flower to THC flower as it does not make them feel weird or paranoid. Still others mix their CBD flower with THC flower as the effect of the CBD is said to reduce the anxiety and paranoia some experience when consuming THC.

Is it legal?

Thanks to the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD became legalized at the federal level. While there was still confusion as to CBD’s legality in several States across the country, as long as the CBD product is derived from the hemp plant and contains less than .3% THC.

Analysis of our current stock of Silver Haze CBD Flower shows that it is 18.47% CBDa and .27% THC.

Our CBD flower label states that it is less than .3% THC and has an additional label that states the cannabinoid content and has a URL that directs viewers to the Certificate of Analysis.

How do I consume it?

Much like regular ol’ weed, CBD Flower can be rolled in to a joint (see our free rolling papers offer below!!!), smoked in a pipe or waterpipe, or vaporized in a vaporizer pipe. It can also be used to make a butter to be used in baking. At Brave Botanicals our preference is good ol’ doobies.
